FetHead Filter is a high quality, phantom powered in-line preamp. It has the addition of a built-in high passfilter at 220 Hz cutoff (other frequencies are available on request), this reduces the excessive lowfrequency/proximity effects that some microphones exhibit, such as long motor ribbon mics. The filterelements are not directly in the signal path but are applied to the components which set the gain of theFetHead Filter's amplifier.
