Dancing Stage Party Edition is part of Konami's family-orientated Bemani range of music titles. Using either a standard controller or special dance mat accesory (available separately), players must press the relevant buttons as they appear on the screen. Bonuses are awarded for free-style moves, with additional tracks and hidden items unlocked as the game progresses.Four main gameplay modes allow the user to play a straight conversion of the arcade game, practise with certain tracks, master the basics via a tutorial mode or even lose weight with the Workout mode, assisted by the on-screen calorie counter). Players can also compete against each other using two mats or a separate controller, with each aiming to accrue more points than their rival.Dancing Stage Party Edition features 51 songs, among them Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out of My Head", "Don't Stop Movin'" by S Club 7, Rufus and Chaka Khan's "You Got the Love" and contributions from the Cardigans and the Bloodhound Gang plus original tracks from Konami Japan.
